All Saints' Day holidays at Pavillon de Manse

The holidays are shaping up to be chilly? Ouuuuh! Come and shiver at the Pavillon de Manse. Our outreach team has put together a family programme with a focus on water: fun experiments, hands-on activities and discoveries for young and old. It's an experience to be shared, combining science, heritage... and freshness! Get ready to experiment!

All tours of the Pavilion (self-guided or guided) must be booked in advance via the website.

Free visit
Explore the Pavilion at your own pace on a self-guided tour. A booklet with games is provided for children to enjoy. Allow around 45 minutes.

Guided Discovery Tour
At 4.15pm from Tuesday to Friday.
Discover the water-raising machine that supplied water to the fountains in the gardens of the Château de Chantilly in the 17th century. You'll also discover the 19th century machines and the mechanised laundry. The machines will be started up in front of you. Duration: 50 minutes.
Animation at the end of the visit: "The Witch of the Pavilion".
A strange explosion has plunged the Witch into oblivion... Children and parents will have to help her recover her secrets and prepare a very special potion together. Running time: 20 minutes.

Treasure hunt
At 2.30pm from Tuesday to Friday
As a family, explore the Machine Room and solve the riddles to open the treasure chest. Observation, logic and teamwork will help you discover the secrets of the Pavilion in a whole new way. Ages 7 and up. Booking essential. Duration: approx. 1h15. Price: €6.50.

- Science education (3-6 years) "Little Monsters": Wednesdays 22 and 29 October / Fridays 24 and 31 October

- Halloween Light Painting (7 - 12 years): Fridays 24 and 31 October
- Mathémagie (7-12 years): Thursdays 23 and 30 October

Family workshops
Ages 4 and up. Duration: approx. 1? hours. Booking essential. Price: €9 per person.
- Lab'horrible: Welcome to the Laboratory! Young and old get together to carry out amazing experiments, sometimes a bit disgusting but always fun, for everyone to enjoy. At 2.15pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Cyanotype: try your hand at cyanotype, an ancient technique that uses light to produce beautiful bluish images. Use the leaves and treasures of autumn to create original works of art for the whole family to take home. At 2.15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
